Curious about native plants and how to incorporate them into your home habitat? Looking to expand your knowledge when it comes to identification AND uses of native plants? Join Jill Peleuses and Matt Collogan for a special set of classes that will introduce you to a variety of our region’s native plants and teach the basics of how to create a hardy and beneficial landscape right in your yard.
Semester Class is $75 per person. Class size is limited, and pre-registration is required. Participants will need to provide own transportation for field trips (we will happily help arrange carpooling). Stop by either store or give us a call at (910) 343-6001 to register soon!
CLASS ONE: Thurs Sept 5 | 6:30 – 8:00 pm
Class: Native Blooms for All Seasons
Timing is everything! Learn how to create a native landscape that will be actively beneficial and beautiful throughout the entire year.

CLASS TWO: Sun Sept 29 | 8:00 – 10:00 am
Field Trip: Farm/Yard Visit (Matt’s Home)
We'll be visiting Matt's home, featuring both a native landscape and small-scale agricultural operation right in Wilmington.

CLASS THREE: Thurs Oct 3 | 6:30 – 8:00 pm
Class: Native Plants for Pollinators
Learn how to attract and support butterflies and a host of other important pollinators with native plants.

CLASS FOUR: Sun Oct 27 | 8:00 – 10:00 am
Field Trip: Greenfield Lake
We'll explore Greenfield Lake and take a closer look at a variety of native plants out in the field.

CLASS FIVE: Thurs Nov 14 | 6:30 – 8:00 pm
Class: The Edible Landscape
Learn how to create a native landscape that feeds​! We'll be exploring native plants that are edible for both wildlife and humans.
